Hello Power Students! Brandon here. I'm your typical Canadian who apologizes for everything - especially for our neighbour to the south - sorry about them. I've been in Japan for over ten years, have a wife that tolerates my jokes, and two kids and a dog who wreak havoc on our living room. I spend a lot of time cleaning. I guess you could say I'm a blood type-A personality, but most Canadians never talk about blood type. To be honest, I didn't even know my blood type until I came to Japan!

I'm into cars, snowboarding, and soccer, but watching sports is not my thing; I like to play. It's a good idea not to talk about cars in front of me because I won't stop.

Weekends are filled with Aeon Malls and trips to Costco, but if I'm lucky, I get to go camping, to the beach, or out drinking with my pals!

After a long day of work, my favorite thing to do is to sit down and watch Netflix with a nice cold drink and some cheese. Usually, my wife chooses to watch comedy or reality cooking shows, so I tend to fall asleep instantly. When she lets me choose (in a rare occasion), I like suspense and horror flicks, as well as documentaries.

In English class, I love to approach fun, obscure, trivial, or controversial topics: 

• "What would you choose to eat for your last meal?", 
• "Why is Mini Stop the best convenience store?", 
• "What's the best way to wash dishes?" or 
• "Does sushi taste better in Japan?" 

...are the kinds of questions that frequently come up. Of course, I like talking about normal things, too...sometimes. I love it when students have a difficult question, so please don't hold back.
